We accept two kinds of talks, Talks, Tutorials and Lightning Talks.

Guidelines

  • State the level of the talks/tutorials (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced).
  • Have a target audience in mind. That would help you to craft your proposal.
  • For tutorials, please specify if there is any prerequisite.
  • For tutorials, an outline with topics and exercises will help you to stand out.

Talks

Durations: 30 mins (including Q&As)

 

Tutorials

Durations: 90 mins (including Q&As and hands-on exercises)

 

Lightning Talks

Durations: 5 mins

 

Talks/Tutorials can be delivered in either English or Bahasa Malaysia.
 
Important dates:
15th April 2024: Call-for-Papers Opens
30th June 2024: Call-for-Papers Closes (23:59 GMT+8)
15th July 2024: Acceptance are sent to speakers
31st July 2024: Last day to accept invitation
24th & 25th August 2024: Conference Days
Venue: Sunway University, Subang Jaya. About 30 mins drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

* By submitting your talk or tutorial proposal, or by signing up to give a lightning talk, you agree to give permission to the PyCon MY to record, edit, and release audio and/or video of your presentation.
* You also certify that you are the author of your presentation or permitted by the author/organisation to present on behalf.
* You will adhere to the conference Code of Conduct.
* Please do not disclose your name, title in the company, or any information that could reveal your identity. Doing so might cause your proposal to be disqualified.
