Investigative Journalism at present often requires having the tools to collect, analyze and visualize data and information. This talk will introduce basic investigative journalism concepts, techniques, and Python scripts, tools, and data standards that can help uncover stories.


Investigative journalism often requires a lot of sources and analysis of data and information. Having Python libraries and tools, provides a powerful tool as part of your investigative toolkit. This talk will introduce basic journalism concepts, and real examples of usage of Python libraries to scrape, analyze, and work with different types of documents to uncover and publish a story.
